While all of us are holding our breath (sometimes literally) to see what will happen with the Covid-19 Pandemic, our wonderful Lalo Collection of Art and Sculpture remains in safe and secure storage. Online sales have been minimal at best and, with the exception of a few art pieces at the Blue Wing Frog restaurant in Front Royal, no Lalo art can be seen at physical locations. Those of us involved in Lalo Art (Let Art Live On, Inc.) are waiting to see how the original concept of art being seen both online and in physical locations will work out. […]

Writers: We Dream that Good Writing Can “Live On”!!! Just as some very good paintings, sketches, sculptures, and other works of art – both great and small – have been created by artists throughout the ages, a great many excellent writing never gets to be seen or read. And just as a tiny fraction of those fine art works end up in museums, galleries or notable private collections., a lot of good writing remains on legal pads, in notebooks or on computers and does not get printed or put “online”. Many LALO artists are also good writers. This good writing […]

An art show was presented to residents and visitors at Hidden Springs Assisted Living Center in Warren County, Virginia, over the Mothers’ Day weekend. Thanks to Walter Mabe, Lalo Vice-President Operations, and his wife Taffy, a member of the Lalo Advisory Group, the art show brought great pleasure to all who viewed it. “We are pleased to be able to share some of our extensive collection of art for people to see,” said Walter. “We even sold a piece,” he added. “But we never do it for the money.” Lalo Society Member Artists enjoy having their artwork seen. The Lalo team created a prize winning table display for the Samuels Public Library annual fund raiser – this year’s motif, “A Taste of Mysteries”. Hundreds of people from Front Royal, the Washington D.C. metro area and surrounding regions learned about “Letting Art Live On” at the Saturday evening program on April 16, 2016. Organizations which participated this year picked mystery books and based their display on that theme. Lalo selected Agatha Christie’s Murder on the Orient Express as the book featured and provided a delicious group of desserts prepared by Lalo Society members. And Lalo added a collector’s model […]

A great group assembled Saturday evening, April 9, 2016, between 4 and 6PM at the Front Royal Studio Bee Gallery in the JENNerations Hair Studio for the first open Art Reception to be held by LALO. Transformed to an art gallery, the Hair Studio had much room for Art and Food. “It was a very nice evening and I wish to express my appreciation to Jennifer Nicholson, a member of the Lalo Board, for making her business venue a wonderful, centralized location for our first “public” reception,” said Bryane Lickson, Founder and Chair of Lalo. Among the artists who gathered […]

Bryane and Charles “Chips” Lickson were pleased to host the first-ever Reception event for the new Lalo Society at their home in the Belmont section of Front Royal this past Saturday, November 7, 2015. Although rain was threatened, the enthusiasm and enjoyment of those present was not affected. In fact, attendees all enjoyed good food, visiting with each other (artists, collectors and supporters) and the music supplied by John Kovacs and his wife Judy. “We are pleased that so many people turned out for the invitation only event when the weather was not that great”, said Lalo, Inc. Chairperson Bryane […]

First of all WE LOVE ART, ARTISTS, ART COLLECTORS, ART LOVERS and WRITERS! Visitors to this site should know that Lalo, Inc. was originally formed in mid-August, 2015 by a group of artists, collectors and art lovers. In 2020, “Let Art live On” became a division of Lalo Publishing, Inc. The rational for this site was and is to LET ART LIVE ON… be it visual Art or Writing. All too often certain art works end up in tag sales, discount stores or the trash bin because the art has no place to go and nobody – including heirs at […]
